A four-day kids wakesurf camp on Lake Travis, ages 8 to 14
Monday to Thursday on Lake Travis, out of Mansfield Dam Park on the west side of Austin, Texas, an easy drop-off from Lakeway, Cedar Park and Leander. Eight campers a week, no more, learning to wakesurf and wakeboard behind the Nautique with lunch and snacks taken care of. It is one payment, and there is nothing to pack but a swimsuit, a towel and sunscreen.

The week is about getting each kid up on a wakesurf board and a wakeboard and building from there, at whatever pace they are at. The instructors do this every day of the summer, with kids, and every morning starts with a water safety talk before anyone gets wet. Between sessions there is tubing, swimming and snack breaks. With eight campers there is no long wait for a turn, and the kids who arrive on Monday not knowing anyone usually leave on Thursday with a few new friends and a lot more confidence on the water.
Summer 2027 camp weeks
Every week runs Monday to Thursday, 9 AM to 3 PM, at Mansfield Dam Park on Lake Travis. One payment per camper, paid once, with no deposit and no balance later.
We have not picked the summer 2027 dates
We run three or four weeks each summer, eight campers each. The dates for next year aren’t picked, and we’d rather show you nothing than put up a week we can’t promise to run. When they are set, the list below gets the email before they go on this page.
Summer 2027 camp list
Leave your details and we’ll email you the week the dates are set, before they go on this page. Nothing else.
Camp is ages 8 to 14. Tell us anyway if yours is a little under, we’d rather know than guess, and a seven-year-old this summer is eight by next.
Leave these alone if any of them would.
We’ll have you down for: 1 child, ages not given, any month that works. This is not a booking and it does not hold a spot. The dates aren’t picked yet, nothing is charged now, and there’s nothing to pay. When the summer 2027 weeks are set we email this list first, before they go on the page, and you decide then. We only write about camp dates.
Would rather just talk to someone? Call or text 512-839-4573.
If none of the weeks work, or you would rather have the boat to your own kids, we run multi-day private camps for a single family or a small group. You pick the dates and the hours and we plan the days around them.
People book these for visiting cousins, a birthday, or a kid who wants one-on-one time on the board.

Camp ends on Thursday on purpose
Lake traffic picks up a lot on Fridays as boaters head out early for the weekend. Calm water is safer, and it is also the water kids learn fastest on, because the wave stays clean. Ending on Thursday means your camper gets the smoothest water of the week every day they are with us.
Questions parents ask us
- How much is Travis Wake Charters summer camp, and how do I pay?
- The price is printed on each week once the weeks are published, and it is paid once at registration by card. There is no deposit and no balance to pay later.
- What days and hours does camp run?
- Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each of the four days, at Mansfield Dam Park on Lake Travis. We finish on Thursday because lake traffic picks up on Fridays and calmer water is safer and better for learning.
- How many kids are in a camp week?
- Eight campers per week, and no more. Multiple families share the week, so your camper meets other kids their age.
- What ages is camp for?
- Ages 8 to 14. Age is worked out from your camper's date of birth against the first day of the week you pick, so a camper who turns 8 before camp starts is eligible.
- Is food included?
- Yes. Lunch, snacks and bottled water are included every day. Tell us about allergies or medical needs on the registration form and we will work around them.
- Do you need a waiver?
- Yes. A parent or legal guardian completes the camp packet online before the first day: the waiver, emergency medical consent, allergies and medications, swim ability, who may pick up, and the camp rules. The link comes with your registration confirmation and takes about ten minutes on a phone.
- What if the week I want is full?
- Call or text 512-839-4573. We run the waitlist by phone so we can talk to you if a spot opens up, and we can tell you about the other weeks.
- Next summer's dates aren't up yet. Can I hold a spot?
- Not yet, and we won't pretend otherwise. Until the weeks are set there is nothing to hold and nothing to pay. Whenever no weeks are listed, this page carries a camp list instead. Leave your name, email and your campers' ages and that list is emailed the week the dates are set, before they go on the website. It is not a registration, nothing is charged, and it does not reserve a place.
Leave your details above and you will hear about summer 2027 before anyone else.
