Three businesses we actually use

This is a short list on purpose. The Wake Stop stocks boats on Lake Travis, Rhodes Headwear makes our hats, and XRise Tech is the platform this site runs on. We use all three every week. Nobody paid to be here, and where we share an owner we say so.

The Wake Stop

They sell ice, water, sodas, snacks, beer, seltzer and wine to boats on Lake Travis. They do it two ways, and the difference is worth knowing before your trip.

Before you board

Order ahead and their crew stocks the boat before you arrive. No grocery stop, no melting bag of ice in the truck, nothing to carry down the dock. Have your trip date, time and a contact phone number ready, and pick Pre-Order in their cart, not a shipping address.

Once you are out there

If you are anchored in a cove and out of ice, drop a GPS pin and a phone number at their checkout and they run it out to you. They say usually 30 to 45 minutes. Their delivery hours vary, so check the page before you count on it.

The Wake Stop is a separate business and you order and pay them directly. We don't take a cut and we don't handle the delivery. Anything alcoholic is 21+ with ID at handoff, and our own rule stands either way: nobody gets towed behind the boat after drinking.

XRise Tech

The booking platform and website this site runs on: online booking, deposits and balances, digital waivers, the crew app, the owner's reports and books, and the concierge chat. Built in Austin, and Travis Wake Charters is its first live operator.

Everything you do on this site, from picking a date to signing a waiver on your phone at the dock to splitting the bill with friends, is XRise Tech. When something here works smoothly, that is the partner you are using.

Rhodes Headwear

Austin, TX · custom embroidery + screen printing

Austin-based custom headwear and apparel, run by brothers Ryan and Drew Rhodes. Embroidered hats, screen-printed shirts, and promotional gear.

Every TWC hat is theirs. If you have picked one up off the boat, that is Rhodes stitching, and it is why the shop sells hats that hold their shape after a season of sun and lake water rather than the usual event-tent throwaway.

We keep TWC hats on the boat and in the shop. Same Rhodes stitching, same shapes. Pick one up on the water, or order it before your trip and we will have it waiting at the dock.
