XRise Tech: the operating platform for captained charters

Charter booking software that does not stop at the booking. XRise Tech runs the whole operation of a captained charter business, from the first click on a date to the last line in the books, on one codebase, one database and one deployment that belongs to you.

What it replaces

A booking widget that charges your guest a fee. A waiver app that knows nothing about the booking. A spreadsheet for crew pay and another for fuel. A text thread with the captain. Four tools, four logins, and the same trip typed into each of them. XRise Tech is one system of record: a booking, its waivers, its crew, its costs and its money are one row of truth, written once and read everywhere, and the platform adds no fee of its own to your guests’ bookings.

What is in the platform

Booking and pricing

A public catalog and date picker against real availability: hull overlap, buffers, cutoffs, season windows and blackouts. Tiered pricing by trip length, seasonal and holiday rates, add-ons, promo codes. A pre-season waitlist that offers each date to the first person in line, with a private link that expires before the date goes public.

Deposits, balances and split-pay

A deposit at checkout with the card saved, the balance collected automatically the day before the trip, pay links for bookings taken by phone, refunds and incidentals, tips with even crew splits. Group split-pay gives every guest a link for their share and settles the remainder on the organiser's card.

Digital waivers

Waivers are versioned instruments. Every signature snapshots the exact text it was signed against, a stale page cannot be signed, and a signed row cannot be altered. Guests sign at checkout or by QR at the dock; a returning signer types a phone number and gets everything but the signature back.

Crew app

An installable phone app for the people on the boat: today's trips, pre and post charter checklists with a safety gate, engine hours, fuel, photos, guest check-in, a time clock and per-seat pay. Crew see the trip, never the money.

Owner reports and books

A ledger with a chart of accounts, bank import, receipt capture, per-trip cost and overhead, maintenance intervals, asset P&L per boat, processor reconciliation and QuickBooks sync. The owner's dashboard is one attention list for everything that needs a decision.

AI concierge

A booking assistant that quotes from live pricing and the live calendar, recommends a boat and a length, and in pre-season puts a guest in line for a date. It can hand off to a human and it never invents a price.

Everything else you sell

Packages and memberships, gift certificates, a merch shop with inventory, camps with registration and waiver reminders, events sold by the seat or the whole boat. One checkout, one customer record, one set of books.

Releases you can trust

Every change ships as a numbered release with a recorded deployment and a one-command rollback. Row-level security on every table, private storage signed on read, secrets in a vault, rate limits on every public form, in-house error tracking.

Proven on a real operation

Travis Wake Charters, a captained wakesurf charter company on Lake Travis, Texas, runs entirely on XRise Tech and is its first operator. Since the first platform booking on 4 August 2026, twelve paid charters and 41 digital waivers across thirteen bookings have gone through it, alongside eight merch orders and a customer file of 58. Twelve scheduled jobs have completed 5,201 of 5,201 runs in the last 90 days with no gap longer than 33 minutes. Eight versioned releases have shipped, each with a recorded deployment and a rollback path. Those figures come from the production database, not a slide.

XRise Tech and Travis Wake Charters share an owner; TWC is XRise’s first operator and runs on the platform under a written licence.

Who it suits

Captained charter boats, surf and wake schools and camps, pontoon and tour operators selling by the seat or the whole boat, fishing guides and dive boats. The sweet spot is one to five hulls, one to ten staff, a season, and an owner who wants the dock and the books in one place. It is not a marina counter and it does not do bareboat rental contracts.

How it is priced

Licensed per operator. Travis Wake Charters runs on it under a written licence; pricing for a new operator is by conversation, because the right shape depends on whether you want it hosted or on your own accounts. The platform takes no cut of a booking either way. Hosting and vendor usage are billed to you by the vendors directly, of the order of $100 to $150 a month for a small operator before card processing.

What onboarding looks like

About two hands-on days, spread over two to three weeks while vendors approve things. One Vercel project and one Supabase database per operator, so your data is physically separate from everyone else’s, and your own Stripe account in your business’s name, so the money never passes through us. You own the accounts from day one.
