A boat day on Lake Travis for college groups: ten of you, three hours, boards included
TCU, UT, Texas State: the drive is the same and so is the day. A captain drives the Nautique, Jacob gets the first-timers up on a wakesurf board, the tube comes out, and the cove is yours for the last hour. Boards, vests, cooler and ice are on the boat.
One person books it with the deposit and sends everyone their share link. Nobody fronts the whole thing, and nobody chases Venmo for a month.
Spring break week, March 2027
UT, TCU and Texas State all overlap on the week of March 15, 2027 to March 19, 2027. Monday to Thursday that week the three-hour Nautique charter is $675 for the boat instead of $750, which is $730.69 with tax, or $73.07 each for 10.
The lake is cold in March, around sixty degrees. Bring a wetsuit if you own one; the ride is shorter without it and nobody minds. We text the night before if the wind is up and move you to another day in the week.
The rest of the year
Fall and spring weekends are the normal rate card, which is on the prices page with tax and the deposit worked out. Three hours split 10 ways is $81.19 a head with tax. The split-pay links are what make it work, not a discount.
Lake Travis, west of Austin, Texas. Pickup at your lake house dock, or at our usual spot in Hudson Bend, between Lakeway and Lago Vista; people drive in from Jonestown, Cedar Park and Leander. We send directions before the trip.
House rules, the short version
- The person booking is 21 or over. Everyone aboard signs the waiver on their phone beforehand.
- Guests 21 and over may drink responsibly; nobody under 21 is served, and the captain can end the trip.
- Nobody gets towed behind the boat after drinking. Cans and plastic only, no glass.
- Life vests for every rider; the captain decides when the wind says no.
- Up to 12 on the Nautique. A bigger group is two trips or the pontoon as well.
